Weekly Program
DAY 1: Arrive in Florence/ Orientation and welcome drink/ Remainder of day at leisure/ Dinner out at a well known Florentine restaurant with fine local wines.

Welcome to Florence! Your tour director warmly greets you at Florence's airport. After settling in, you are free to relax the rest of the day. Your host will be at your service at the villa each day during scheduled times. He or she will give you all the help and guidance you wish for; side trips, excursions, shopping, sightseeing, dinning or any other special interest you may have.

DAY 2: Tour of the city/ Sight seeing and visits to museums/ Afternoon at leisure/ Dinner at local trattoria with fine local wines.

Joy, Joy, Joy! For scholars and shoppers! We're in Florence!

A full day free in Florence is to be at the gates of two paradises! A paradise for art lovers to explore the greatest treasury of art and culture of the western world and a shoppers' paradise! Countless little shops laden with jewelry of Florentine gold and silver, exquisite leather goods, chic fashion houses and everyone's favorite, the straw market.

We are enthralled by our privately guided tour while we stroll thru the medieval streets where the striking Piazza della Signora and the Piazza Santa Croce sit. We will also enjoy breathtaking panoramas, like that of the city atop Piazzale Michelangelo.

For all those passionate about shopping, our personal shopper will guide you thru the cobblestone streets recommending shopper's hidden treasures. You will surely satisfy your shopping urges, but beware of that wallet!

DAY 3: Tuscan vineyard Tour/ Remainder of day at leisure/ Dinner on your own.

This morning we are off on a panoramic drive out to a celebrated vineyard where we will taste wines with expert wine makers teaching us different production techniques and more.

DAY 4: Morning cooking class/ Remainder of day at leisure/ Dinner at a local trattoria with fine local wines.

This morning we visit an authentic Tuscan kitchen where the local chef teaches us how to cook old traditional recipies from this region. At the end, we sit down to enjoy our creation with a beautiful glass of wine. Salute!

DAY 5: Morning excursion to Siena/ Afternoon at San Gimignano/ Dinner on your own.

We will drive about 30 miles south of Florence, where we will visit the walled city of Siena; a city that preserves its original character more than any other city in Italy. We will walk thru its narrow streets, medieval gates, walls and towers.

On our way back we will stop at San Gimignano, where we will visit local artisan work shops.

You will marvel at the beautiful silver and ceramic creations these artists create and have the opportunity to shop all the little stores.

DAY 6: Morning Coffee tasting/ Afternoon ceramic class/ Dinner out at a well known Florentine restaurant with fine local wines.

You will awaken your taste buds this morning with the freshest and finest coffee ever! Coffee experts will talk you thru the traditional roasting process, show you the different serving methods and teach you the different types of coffee beverages.

In the afternoon we will visit a ceramic factory. There, local artisans will introduce you to this beautiful craft. With them, you will create one of your own masterpieces and take it home with you.

DAY 7: A full day at leisure/ Farewell dinner at villa.

A full day in Florence offers you a giant spectrum of possibilities.
You can go back to a sight you have already seen, explore new paths or browse the streets brimming with the latest in fashion and crafts.
You may linger at café watching the world go by, visit museums or stroll cobblestone streets.

That evening, our entire group participates in a gastronomical event.
We will enjoy our meal set in a candlelight atmosphere with great Italian music accompanied by our newfound friends.

DAY 8: This morning we jet home laden with photographs, happy memories and newfound friends. We hope to see you, your family members and friends touring with us once more. For now a very warm Arrivderci!
